X-Fab Texas

X-FAB is the first pure-play foundry to provide comprehensive processing technologies for the wide-bandgap material silicon carbide (SiC) and X-FAB Texas is also called the high volume SiC fab, because it is the first foundry offering first 6-inch SiC. X-FAB Texas joined the X-FAB group on February 1, 1999. Currently the site is averaging over 19,000 wafer starts/month (Production and Engineering). X-FAB Texas has a total of 400 employees. The focus is on the production of 6-inch wafers in the CMOS area as well as SiC technologies.
