U.S. AI Safety Institute Consortium (AISIC)

The AISIC was launched under the NIST to unite academics, government agencies, industry, and civil organizations for the shared goal of AI development. AISIC’s goals include establishing a space to share data and knowledge with other stakeholders and facilitating collaborative, interdisciplinary research and development. The US Dept. of Commerce selected Texas A&M and UT-San Antonio as members of the Consortium after an application process. Other AISIC members include Apple, Amazon, Adobe, Intel, Google, Meta, Microsoft, and OpenAI, as well as research institutes including Johns Hopkins University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Stanford University.
