Stargate AI Infrastructure Porject

The $500 billion Stargate project, a collaboration between Oracle, OpenAI, and SoftBank, selected Abilene, Texas, for its inaugural data center campus. The campus will house servers for OpenAI, enhancing AI research and development capabilities and estimated to create over 100,000 jobs. The first phase, estimated at $1.1 billion, is slated for completion by the end of 2025. A natural gas plant, expected to cost up to $500m,  is planned for the site and could provide the data center with up to 360.5MV of power.
