Artificial Intelligence Incubator Network Initiative

The American Association of Community Colleges (AACC), with funding from Dell Technologies and Intel, manages the Artificial Intelligence Incubator Network Initiative, an 18-month initiative that builds AI Incubators by leveraging the expertise and connections forged by community college systems. In 2022, AACC, Dell, and Intel announced that they were awarding $40,000 in grants to 15 community colleges as part of Intel’s Workforce for AI program, alongside the Artificial Intelligence Incubator Network Initiative. Among the recipients were Austin Community College and Houston Community College Foundation. Serving as one example of the grants’ impact, Austin Community College used the funding to develop an AI Incubator lab focused on supporting curriculum development in high-demand career programs such nursing and accounting.
