Texas Space Commission Open Meeting

The Board of Directors of the Texas Space Commission will conduct a public meeting under Section 551.127, Texas Government Code, related to meetings held by videoconference. The Board Chair will be present in Austin, Texas, at a location available to the public during the open portions of the meeting. Other members of the Board of Directors may join by videoconference from separate locations. In addition to the option to be physically present at the location, members of the public will also have access to a live audiovisual stream of the meeting once the meeting commences via https://msteams.link/C0PY.

8) Closed Meeting—Consultation with Attorney The Board will conduct a closed meeting to receive legal advice from its attorney(s) and will discuss pending or contemplated litigation, and/or settlement offers, as permitted by Section 551.071 of the Texas Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code (Texas OMA). The Board may also meet in open meeting to take action on this matter as required by Section 551.102 of the Texas OMA.

9) Closed Meeting—Personnel Matters, Direct Reports to Board The Board will conduct a closed meeting to deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of the Board’s Executive Director or Chief Compliance Officer as permitted by Section 551.074 of the Texas Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code. The Board may also meet in open meeting to take action on this matter as required by Section 551.102 of the Texas Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code.

10) Closed Meeting—Personnel Matters, Texas Space Commission Employee(s) The Board will conduct a closed meeting to discuss the employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a specific Texas Space Commission employee(s) as permitted by Section 551.074 of the Texas OMA. The Board may also meet in open meeting to take action on this matter as required by Section 551.102 of the Texas OMA.

11) Closed Meeting—Duties of Board Members The Board will conduct a closed meeting to discuss their duties, roles, and responsibilities as Board Members of the Texas Space Commission pursuant to Section 551.074 of the Texas OMA. The Board may also meet in open meeting to take action on this matter as required by Section 551.102 of the Texas OMA.

12) Closed Meeting—Deliberation Regarding Economic Development Negotiations The Board will conduct a closed meeting to discuss or deliberate economic development negotiations involving the Board and a business prospect that the Board seeks to have locate, stay, or expand in or near the territory of the governmental body and the information relates to either a trade secret of the business prospect or to commercial or financial information for which it is demonstrated based on specific factual evidence that disclosure would cause substantial competitive harm to the person from whom the information was obtained, pursuant to Section 551.087 of the Texas OMA. The Board may also meet in open meeting to take action on this matter as required by Section 551.102 of the Texas OMA.
