NSIC creates large-scale outcomes by fostering active collaboration across communities of interest that are otherwise separated by constraints of geography, institutional barriers, or funding rules.
The National Security Innovation Council (NSIC) is a Texas 501(c)6 non-profit focused on providing an integrated, statewide approach to accelerating innovation for solving National Security problems.
This is about creating speed in problem solving, increasing the level of government support to innovation, and allowing Texas-based companies and institutions access to more opportunities collectively than they could individually. We will take an ambitious and holistic approach in creating an operational model that sustains shared understanding of national security problems, constantly renews awareness of Texas-based entities who can solve those problems, and effectively guides activities to connect the two and enable solutions. The desired end state is an outcomes-based public-private consortium that drives, builds, and sustains a “whole-of-state” collaborative culture of innovation that rapidly offers solutions to difficult national security problems.
